Are you using the following tool as an ally in your Air Force Academy’s admissions process?

February 17th, 2012 · No Comments

So you’ve applied to the Air Force Academy and have either gotten an offer of admission or are eagerly awaiting a response from them.

Or you are a junior in high school, and are looking at the requirements to get accepted into the Air Force Academy as one of your potential college
choices, and are in the process of getting yourself prepared to meet the Air Force Academy’s admission requirements.

Or you could be a little younger, and are looking ahead to the day that you can apply for admission to the Air Force Academy.

So whether you are already in the home stretch of the Academy’s admission process or you haven’t even started yet, my message for this blog post will
be one and the same.

Don’t take your physical conditioning for granted.

Besides helping you get prepared for the physical training that you will have to go through at the Academy, exercise is a great way to burn off stress,
as well as give you a more positive outlook on life.

And if the weather is miserable, or you’re in between seasons for different sports that you play, or if you are a home school student, I would even
take this bit of advice a step further.

Get a gym membership.  And use it.  Especially if you don’t have easy access to a high school weight room, or can’t access it on certain days.

Certain gyms even give discounts, or sometimes they even let local high school athletes work out there for free.  Check around by calling or visiting
your local gyms to see if they can meet your needs.  And I would say to choose the one with the most updated equipment and the most extended hours
that you can afford without busting your budget.

You’ll meet new people, and you’ll likley learn new things to try in terms of building muscle strength and endurance, as well as cardiovascular fitness.

You should also consider learning from the person that I mention at the beginning of Chapter 3 in my book,  Zoomie to Be: How to
Win an Appointment to the Air Force Academy

And if you can’t look at Chapter 3 because you don’t have your copy of Zoomie to Be: How to Win an Appointment to the Air Force Academy, then make that your first step right now.  Order your personal Zoomie to Be e-manual at www.airforceacademyappointment.com .  You can also order it in hard copy at www.lulu.com/content/364596.

Until next time, here’s to your success!
